The Gathering was created by AFLV with the support of COMPASS and is officially endorsed by the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors (AFA).
We intend to bring about compelling questions, powerful thinking, and revolutionary action to transform and bring relevance to the fraternal movement.
We plan to lead and chart an intentional course that inspires all of us to act entrepreneurial in thought, word, and deed. We call upon fraternities and sororities to become the most trusted organizations.
This isn’t a think tank. It’s an action tank.

AFLV, COMPASS, and AFA are vision driven organizations, both desiring to radically empower and inspire professionals within the field of fraternity and sorority advising to fundamentally transform themselves, their environment, and the fraternal movement. Something Different
This four day, three night institute style event will involve a small group of professionals who desire an advanced professional development experience designed to catapult professionals working with fraternities and sororities to literally inspire, transform, and evoke change within the field. The Gathering is intended to be a sabbatical and departure of thought to produce interruptions among professionals and their way of thinking and behaving.
A $5,000 Grant
What stops great ideas from becoming reality? The money to make them happen. What would be possible if you had $5000 to get your idea off the ground? After attending, participants will be allowed to submit and vote on the best proposal which will receive a $5000 grant as venture capital/start up funding. We are putting the funds behind the best new idea. Submissions will be required to share and make their work publicly available for all to use and learn from. Successful proposals will come from the emergent thinking of our time together.
Synergy will come from knowing ideas can become real.

The Association of Fraternal Leadership and Values is committed to excellence. Any grievance or complaint may be directed to any staff member of volunteer working on a particular program or event. Any staff member or volunteer who is unable to resolve a program participant’s complaint, is expected to bring the problem to the attention of his or her supervisor or (if the supervisor is unavailable) of another senior staff member. If the problem or concern is not resolved, we encourage you to bring it to the immediate attention of the Executive Director.
