Thursday Night Keynote

Community Starts with YOU

Consider the level of connection you feel with other fraternity & sorority leaders on campus. Do you share an aligned vision for your members or do you even know their names? If “community unity” has become a recurring goal for your organization, it’s time we bravely address the gaps we have overlooked to “keep the peace,” but are actually dividing our community and limiting our impact.

In the busyness of goal setting and team building this weekend, you are invited to personally reflect on how curiosity as a response to conflict, sincere friendship, and rejecting competitive cultures could elevate your effectiveness and influence as a leader. By taking ownership of what self-care disciplines you need to implement in order to show up fully in the moments that matter, you can expect to feel more connected to community AND model the way for your members to do the same!

Friday Morning Keynote

because i said i would: the importance of a promise

We live in a society that often does not respect the importance of a promise. It is too easy to say “I’ll get to it” or “tomorrow.” In many ways we have become numb to disappointment and broken commitments. This expectation starts to fade into our character as individuals. Alex Sheen believes that every individual has the strength to become a person of their word.

As the Founder of an international social movement, Alex shares his insights and actionable ways to become better at fulfilling commitments. He inspires others to become more accountable to their promises through compelling and real-life examples. Alex believes that how we hold ourselves and each other accountable can trul change humanity for the better.

Stress, Success, & Duck Syndrome: Caring For Yourself In College & Beyond

Does the burden of your to-do list feel heavier than ever? Have you been feeling exhausted, withdrawn, or even cynical about school or work? Maybe things look great on the outside, but you’re feeling down on the inside. If so, you could be dealing with duck syndrome—a common phenomenon where you appear cool and calm on the surface, when really, you’re paddling pretty hard under the water to stay afloat.

In this keynote, Tianna harnesses her training in psychology and her experience working in the fast-paced magazine media industry to help you manage stress, care for your well-being, and navigate your journey with a greater sense of purpose. Using storytelling, stats, and interactive elements, Tianna creates a non-judgmental space for dialogue about mental health and wellness. You will leave feeling grounded, empowered, and inspired to face your next steps with confidence.

Sunday Morning Keynote

How Can I Help Members Stay Motivated and Achieve Better Results?

It’s the question that has haunted chapter and council leaders since leadership began: “How can I influence, push, pull, lead, get them or somehow convince members to do what is needed to better our organization?”  We'll explore that concept through reflection and acceptance of several realities, such as, "How can I get everyone on the same page?" (Spoiler Alert: That won't ever happen). We’ll review your personal leadership style and how it shapes the way you motivate and engage others, and then focus on understanding your members…what drives members, what holds them back, and how to meet them where they are as we move from theory to practice.

Excellent followers are not born, nor do they suddenly appear in a chapter or council. They are developed, encouraged, and sustained by leaders who understand that no group is ever 100% motivated. Together, we’ll explore how your leadership will create the conditions for the best followership.
