Recognition Meets Growth
This program is built around two equally important goals: recognition and growth.
Awards
Awards celebrate exceptional leadership, innovation, and impact across fraternity and sorority communities. Through Council Compass, Marketing + Media Showcase, and Individual Awards, AFLV recognizes the outstanding work happening on campuses during AFLV Central and AFLV West final awards banquet.
Assessment
Every Council Compass submission receives thoughtful feedback from trained volunteer reviewers. Councils attending AFLV Central or AFLV West can participate in one-on-one assessment consultations to discuss their feedback, ask questions, and identify opportunities for continued growth.
Ways to Participate
-

Council Compass
Council Compass recognizes the work of governing councils through a comprehensive self-assessment process across four focus areas: Accountability, Collaboration, Education, Innovation
Councils receive feedback while also being considered for recognition.
-

Marketing + Media Showcase
Highlight the creativity and impact of your community's communications.
Submit websites, videos, publications, and other marketing materials developed during the current calendar year for recognition.
-

Individual Awards
Celebrate the people making a difference.
Individual Awards recognize outstanding undergraduate leaders, volunteers, professionals, and others who positively shape the fraternity and sorority experience.
Eligibility
To be eligible for AFLV Awards + Assessment recognition, councils must meet the following requirements:
Be an AFLV Campus Subscriber. Councils must be affiliated with a campus that is current on its AFLV Campus Subscription.
Submit a complete application by the deadline. Late or incomplete submissions will not be considered.
Attend an AFLV conference. Not required, but highly encouraged!
Councils are strongly encouraged to have at least one delegate attend AFLV Central or AFLV West to participate in the recognition experience and receive feedback.
If your council receives an award and no delegate is present to accept it, the campus will be responsible for shipping costs following the conference.
