AFLV Names 2023 Award Winners
AFLV awarded its Individual and Council Compass award winners at its recognition banquets on Feb. 4, 2023, at the AFLV Central conference and on Feb. 25, 2023, at the AFLV West conference.
AFLV individual awards recognize those who have challenged conventional wisdom to develop new solutions to affect systemic change.
The Wayne S. Colvin Award recognizes an outstanding undergraduate student. This is one of the highest honors in the interfraternal community. The 2023 Colvin Award recipients are Keri Friend, Wright State University, and member of Alpha Xi Delta.
The Wilford A. Butler Award recognizes an outstanding fraternity/sorority alumna who volunteers their time to support the acceleration of progress in the fraternity/sorority experience and is not the fraternity/sorority professional on campus. The 2023 Butler Award Winner is Sam Clark at the University of Cincinnati.
The Steven B. Dealph Award recognizes an outstanding fraternity/sorority professional. The 2023 Dealph Award Winner is Dave Westol, Limberlost Consulting.
The Marilyn Fordham Award recognizes an outstanding undergraduate student who exemplifies a progressive leader. The 2023 Marilyn Fordham Award recipient is Angelica Fortanelli at Texas Tech University.
The 2023 Change Maker Outstanding Fraternity/Sorority Professional Award recipients are Ekpeju Ed E-Nunu, Director of Fraternity and Sorority Life at the University of California, Irvine.
Council Compass
AFLV Council Compass awards recognize high-achieving Panhellenic, Interfraternity and National Pan-Hellenic and Multicultural Greek councils. The Sutherland Award recognizes AFLV’s top College Panhellenic; the Jellison Award recognizes the top Interfraternity Council; and the Page Award recognizes the top National Pan-Hellenic Council.
