2026 Board Transitions: Celebrating Service and Welcoming New Leadership
Leadership is about more than the roles we hold—it's about the impact we leave behind and the people we inspire along the way.
Each year, the AFLV Board of Directors experiences moments of transition that honor the leaders who have shaped our organization while welcoming those who will help guide what's next. This year, we're celebrating the extraordinary contributions of Jeremiah Shinn and Erin Huffman-Richard as they conclude their board service, while also welcoming Ashley Dye to the AFLV Board of Directors.
Together, these transitions reflect the strength of the AFLV community: a commitment to leadership, service, and investing in the future of fraternity and sorority communities.
Thank You, Jeremiah Shinn: A Decade of Leadership
After 10 years of dedicated service on the AFLV Board of Directors, Jeremiah Shinn is concluding his board term, leaving behind a legacy that has strengthened AFLV in countless ways.
Throughout the past decade, Jeremiah has helped guide the organization with thoughtful leadership, sound stewardship, and an unwavering commitment to AFLV's mission. As Treasurer, his insight, generosity, and strategic perspective have played an integral role in supporting the organization's continued growth and long-term success.
Jeremiah's impact extends far beyond the boardroom. As an eight-time facilitator at The Gathering, he has invested in the development of fraternity and sorority professionals, helping create spaces for reflection, meaningful dialogue, and leadership development that continue to strengthen our community. His contributions have left a lasting mark on our organization, and we are deeply grateful for the time, energy, and heart shared with our community.
As Jeremiah begins his new role as President of the University of Montana, we extend our heartfelt congratulations and wish him every success in this exciting new chapter. We have no doubt his leadership will continue to make a meaningful impact. Go Griz!
Thank You, Erin Huffman-Richard: Five Years of Dedication
As Erin Huffman-Richard concludes five years of service on the AFLV Board of Directors, we celebrate the many ways she has helped strengthen our organization and community.
Erin has consistently challenged us to look beyond tradition and consider what today’s college students need from the fraternity and sorority experience. Her passion for training and development also positively influenced how we designed and delivered educational programs to the AFLV community, including helping shape the UIFI experience as it became one of AFLV’s signature programs.
Erin, thank you for your leadership, generosity, and dedication over the past five years. We are grateful for everything you've shared with the AFLV community and look forward to seeing all that lies ahead. We'll be cheering you on every step of the way.
Welcome, Ashley Dye: A New Voice on the Board
As we celebrate those concluding their board service, we're equally excited to welcome a new leader to the AFLV Board of Directors.
Ashley Dye currently serves as the Senior Director for Fraternity & Sorority Affairs at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where she leads a talented team supporting one of the largest fraternity and sorority communities in the country.
Her commitment to the fraternity and sorority experience extends far beyond campus. Ashley is a national officer for her sorority, Pi Beta Phi, a longtime volunteer with AFA, and has served in leadership roles with NPC and several other fraternal organizations. She is also deeply engaged in her local community through the C-U Rotary Club and other civic organizations.
We're thrilled to welcome Ashley to the board and look forward to the impact she'll have on the future of our community. Welcome to #TeamAFLV, Ashley!
Help Us Carry This Momentum Forward
Board transitions like these are a reminder of what's possible when dedicated people invest their time, wisdom, and energy into a shared mission.
We are incredibly grateful to Jeremiah and Erin for the leadership, wisdom, and service they have shared with our community, and we're excited to welcome Ashley as we continue building the future of AFLV together.
As our organization continues to evolve, so does our commitment to accelerating progress in fraternity and sorority communities through change-enabling experiences. We're thankful for everyone who helps make that mission possible.
