Halfway There: Check In with Your Team!

Hey leaders! We are headed into the second half of your term, which is a great time to regroup, assess the year, and make a plan for what you want to accomplish as a team the next few months.

We have partnered with @shiftyes to bring you a short video and downloadable resource to guide you through some dialogue around your goals and how you're showing up as a team. Bring this to your next executive board meeting and let's kick off fall semester strong!

TEAM GOALS & PRODUCTIVITY

  • On a scale of 1–5 (5 being the highest), how productive and efficient have we been as a team?

  • What goals did we set out to accomplish this year as a team? Are we on track to hit those goals?

  • Do we need to reprioritize or adjust any of these goals?

  • Is there anything additional to add that we want to accomplish for this year?

Discuss:

  • What things will help us be successful as a team in being productive and finishing the year strong?

  • What do we need to be aware of that could be potential roadblocks for us as a team?

Based on those answers, are there any processes, systems, or things we can put in place to help keep us on track and set us up for success?

TEAM CULTURE & VIBE

On a scale of 1–5 (5 being the highest), how would you rate our team culture and vibe overall?

  • How is our communication as a team? What’s good & what needs work?

  • Do we feel cohesive and connected as a team? Are we intentional about bringing good energy and contributing to a positive vibe?

  • Are we all being accountable? Is everyone pulling their weight equally?

  • Are we able to say what needs to be said? Are we open to feedback and honest conversations, do we navigate static or conflict well?

  • Is there anything else we need to talk about how we’re operating as a team?

Based on our discussion and answers to these questions, are there any ground rules that we want to establish that define how we want to work and show up together?
