AFLV Honors Top Councils and Individual Award Winners
Congratulations to our individual and Council Compass award winners! We honored our 2025 award winners at AFLV Central on Jan. 31 and at AFLV West on Feb. 22.
Undergraduate Award Winners
The Marilyn Fordham Award recognizes an outstanding undergraduate student who exemplifies a progressive leader at AFLV West. The 2025 recipient is Claire Shelton, Panhellenic Executive Vice President at the University of Idaho and a member of Kappa Alpha Theta.
The Wayne S. Colvin Award recognizes an outstanding undergraduate student at AFLV Central. The 2025 recipient is Auden Van Laeken, Interfraternity Council Vice President of Judicial Affairs at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and a member of Pi Kappa Phi.
Fraternity/Sorority Professional Awards
The Outstanding Fraternity/Sorority Professional Award recipient recognizes a campus-based or headquarters fraternity/sorority professional at AFLV West. The 2025 recipient is Greer Vinall, Associate Director, Fraternity & Sorority Programs at the University of Arizona, and a member of Gamma Phi Beta.
The Steven B. Dealph Award recognizes an outstanding fraternity/sorority professional at AFLV Central. The 2025 recipient is Salem Walid Awwad, Director of Experiential Education for Delta Tau Delta and a member of Delta Sigma Phi.
Alumni Awards
The Wilford A. Butler Award recognizes an outstanding fraternity/sorority alumna who volunteers their time to support the acceleration of progress and is not the fraternity/sorority professional on campus. The 2025 recipients are Jim and Winnie Warner, relentless supporters of the fraternal communities at University of Akron and Kent State University.
Council Compass Awards
Our Council Compass awards recognize high-achieving Panhellenic, Interfraternity and National Pan-Hellenic and Multicultural Greek councils. Our top award-winning councils excel in operations, critical thinking, addressing issues unique to the community culture, and encouraging new ideas and initiatives that make a difference.
